Are you looking for a good Christmas present or two? Look no further…The following books are available: FLOOD! This 2005 book recounts oral histories of those who witnessed and survived the 1955 flood which devastated the Greene-Dreher community.  A charge of $20.00 is requested (plus $3.00 for mailing). GREENE TOWNSHIP HISTORY and DREHER TOWNSHIP HISTORY - written by Greene Township Historian Peggy Bancroft in 2005.  A charge of $5.00 per township history book is requested (plus $2.00 for mailing). We also have very nice notecards for $5 plus $1 postage. Excellent choices and endorsed by Web!

We are collecting photos of Greene and Dreher Township one room school houses.  While we have pictures of the majority of the schools, we are missing pictures of the South Sterling and East Sterling schools.  If you have any photos, please let us know.  We will copy and return them to you.

Please note; there will be no membership meetings in January and February, 2008 and that the next membership meeting will be March 3, weather permitting.

When over 80 people filed into the WSCS Hall on Oct 20 to hear the Young Geezers, they weren’t disappointed! With selections from blue grass, western, modern, folk and a few genres I never heard of , it was great. Our topnotch program scheduler signed up the Young Geezers for October 18, 2008.  If you’re not doing anything that day and you want to hear some real sweet music, come on down. As is always the case, there will be refreshments.
